Stories and highlights
There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.
A year at our school
Congratulations to our Senior B netball team who won their grand finale. They defeated Picnic Point 9-3 in a strong performance.
Well done girls, enjoy the well-earned patch!
Have you ever done a spelling bee? Well, we have, and Padstow Heights crushed it.
Kids have been practising at home for weeks. Classes choose their best spellers to go to the stage finals.
We had students spelling challenging and interesting words like rapport, pi, anorak, tremulous, posse, berserk, quinine, turpentine and cedar.
It was an intense and exciting competition. 15 super spellers from Stage 3 and 20 clever cookies from Stage 2 battled it out this week to see who will represent our school.
Congratulations to everyone who participated in the finals.
This year's Athletics Carnival was a great success, with great weather and enthusiastic participation from all students. It was wonderful to see so many students giving it their best, whether they were chasing glory, pushing their personal limits, or simply enjoying the chance to be active and involved.
Staff were incredibly proud of the way students supported one another and demonstrated great sportsmanship throughout the day.
Congratulations to those students who qualified for the District Athletics Carnival, which will take place on Monday 18th August.
Our boys and girls have entered the NSW PSSA State Knockout Competition this year. It's open to every school in the state. The winner progresses to the next round, and the loser is knocked out.
Both boys and girls teams won today.
Boys def. Hammondville PS 44-21
Girls def. Bangor PS 41-20
The boys are through to Round 6 of the competition, and the girls are through to Round 7.
We keep going until there's one team left in the state. Who knows, maybe it could be us?
Congratulations to our Senior Boys Basketball Team who won their grand finale against Picnic Point
Well done boys!
